Advanced Reading Concepts was founded in 1977–35 years now of helping people reach their career and education goals through reading faster and understand more. I started the blog to share information about reading that we find interesting and/or valuable as well as to share the fun stories of experiences in our classes and triumphs of our graduates. I also will pontificate occasionally about how reading is taught –and what I find helpful and what is harmful in some of the things I see in education.
The cat and mouse drawing on the masthead was made by my sister Marcia Abbate and it is of our office assistant “helping out.” My human assistant, Judith Barker does a lot of the research and has her own personal blog as well. She corrects my punctuation. I insert some of my personality, experiences and point of view.
We hope you will follow it and engage in discussions about the topics!
